School is back in session. Whether you are a high school senior feeling the pressure to make those important post-graduation decisions or just starting to consider your educational options for the future, there are easy steps you can take this fall to ensure you are on the right path to reach your academic goals.

Consider volunteering for a local charity.  Community service boosts your credentials for college applications and makes you feel good.

Use your free time to develop a plan for going to college and begin researching schools. Surf college websites, take online tours and explore the surrounding areas to get an idea of the city’s cultural and recreational offerings.  Contact colleges and universities that spark your interest and request a college guide and application to get an idea of each one's offerings and requirements. If possible, schedule a few college visits and experience campus life firsthand.
