The Vegetarian Resource Group awards two $5,000 scholarships each year to graduating U.S. students who have advanced vegetarianism in their school and community.

It’s not just about the top 10 percent.

The National Business Association provides up to five $1,500 scholarships annually to high school seniors and college undergraduates who are children of NBA members. The most unique eligibility criteria? Applicants should possess a GPA between 2.5 and 3.5 – no higher. NBA wants to spotlight the academic achievement of average students.

This summer, social media giant Facebook announced it will award a new scholarship, the Facebook Grace Hopper Scholarship, to five female university students exhibiting excellence in computer science. Winners will attend the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing conference this fall in Atlanta, Georgia.
