Juniors, take note: To achieve your best scores, take the SAT and ACT as early and as many times as necessary. If you are looking for even more boost to your credentials, consider taking advanced placement classes. Although most scholarship programs do not require them, these classes show judges that you challenged yourself and add depth to your high school experience.

To all you high school seniors, now is the time to buckle down and work on college applications. Narrow your list of options – we recommend including one school you are highly likely to be accepted to and one dream school that may be a reach. Then determine the cost, deadline and requirements for each application. For incoming freshman (starting classes in the fall), many colleges operate under a February 1 deadline for all applications for the following fall term.
