Brief Description: Public research institution – and the state’s first university – located along the banks of the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Although there is still much rebuilding to take place, the campus has rebounded significantly since a devastating tornado ripped through the community this past April.
High Honors: UA’s alumni association ranks in the nation’s top 10 when it comes to alumni support – this year, the association has allocated more than $2.3 million in scholarship funds for hundreds of UA students.
