I forgot my password, how do I request a new one?

  • Go to https://aim.applyISTS.net
  • Under ‘Account Login’ click the ‘I forgot my password’ link
  • The ‘Forgot Password’ prompt will appear
  • Enter the e-mail address you used to create your account
  • Click ‘OK’ to reset your password
  • You will receive an ‘Account Password Reset’e-mail with a temporary password and instructions*
  • You will be required to create a new password the first time you log in with your temporary password

Please Note: We suggest that you copy and paste your temporary password from the ‘Account Password Reset’ email. Be sure your new password meets the following criteria:

  • At least 8 characters
  • At least one uppercase letter
  • At least one lowercase letter
  • At least one number
  • At least one symbol (any character that is not a number or letter)

Why do I get the message ‘Username already exists. Please enter a different username’ when creating an account?

If the e-mail address you are attempting to use to create a new account is shared by more than one individual, someone else may have already used that particular e-mail address to register an account at https://aim.applyISTS.net. In this case, to create a new account, you must register with a different e-mail address, as an e-mail address can only be used to register one individual account.

If you have already created an account and have forgotten the password, follow the instructions here to reset your password.

I am getting a message that my ‘account has been locked’, what should I do?

For security purposes, your account is “locked” after three (3) unsuccessful login attempts. You must reset your password to access the account by clicking the ‘I forgot my password’ link and following the instructions below.

To access a “locked” account:

  • Go to https://aim.applyISTS.net
  • Under ‘Account Login’ click the ‘I forgot my password’ link
  • The ‘Forgot Password’ prompt will appear
  • Enter the e-mail address you used to create your account
  • Click ‘OK’ to reset your password
  • You will receive an ‘Account Password Reset’e-mail with a temporary password and instructions
  • You will be required to create a new password the first time you log in with your temporary password

Why are you asking for my birth date?

ISTS administers programs for children as young as four years old. To protect the personal information of our young applicants and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), ISTS requires date of birth to verify all users of our application system are older than thirteen. Please note that date of birth information is used for compliance purposes only.

Application Process



How do I check the status of my application?

  • Go to https://aim.applyISTS.net
  • Log in using your e-mail address and password
  • The first page you will see is the home page of your account - All started applications will be listed here

Each started application will have a current status of either:

  • Complete – Indicates that all requirements for this application have been received and processed.
  • Incomplete – Indicates that all requirements for this application have either not been received or are not processed yet. Before contacting ISTS, please verify the current status of all requirements listed under each application.

Under each application there will be a list of requirements for completion. Each requirement will have one of following as a status:

  • Not Started – An application is in progress, but a required online form has not been requested by the applicant. The applicant must generate a request through their online application to begin this supplemental process.
  • Requested – An application is in progress, the required online form(s) has been successfully requested by the applicant, but the requested party has not begun the supplemental process
  • Started – An application is in progress, the required online form(s) has been successfully requested by the applicant, but the supplemental process has not been successfully submitted by the requested party
  • Submitted – An application is in progress, the required online form(s) has been successfully requested by the applicant, and the requested party has completed the supplemental process
  • Not Received – This requirement has not been received and is not being processed
  • Processing – This requirement has been received and is being processed
  • Accepted – The requirement has been received, processed and approved

Please Note: After requirements are received, it may take up to 7 business days for your online status to update.

Which college or university should I list on my application?

If you have not committed to a specific school, list your first choice or preference on the application. If awarded, you will be given the opportunity to update this information before your check is issued.

I am currently a college student, are my high school transcripts required to apply?

All applicants currently enrolled at a college or university must submit a current college transcript (including cumulative GPA) and their complete high school transcript. Both documents are required in order for the application to be considered.

How do I correct errors or make changes to my online application?

The system is set up so students can log in and out, make changes, update and complete the process at a later time if necessary. Simply log back into the application as you originally did. Please note: Changes will only be saved if you move to another page or click the submit button.

Award Questions



How do I know if I won an award or scholarship?

All applicants will be notified of the results via e-mail. Notifications may be sent up to two months following the deadline.

Please add the domain applyISTS.com to your e-mail program’s “safe senders list.” Failure to do this may result in important e-mails being directed to your junk mail folder. Do not ‘opt out’ of any e-mails sent from any applyISTS.com domain.

How and when are checks issued?

For the majority of scholarship programs, award checks are mailed to the recipient’s address on his or her Profile Page at https://aim.applyISTS.net. Checks are payable to the educational institutions of the recipient’s choice, pending program sponsor’s approval. Any notification you receive identifying you as an award recipient, will also include the date on which that program’s checks will be disbursed.

What is a renewable award?

A renewable award provides financial assistance to a student for a predetermined amount of time without requiring reapplication for the award. Renewals are based on student’s ability to meet the qualifications for the renewal, set forth by the program sponsor. For the renewal application process, students may be required to submit current contact, academic or financial information to qualify for renewal.

I received a renewable award, how do I renew my award?

Renewal instructions for a renewable award will be sent to the e-mail address registered to your account when it is time to start the renewal application process for your award.

Supplement Questions



What is a supplement?

A supplement is a requirement from a third party to complete a student’s application. For example: recommendation, evaluation, etc.

What is a Supplement Code?

A Supplement Code is unique identifier for an applicant request to have an individual fill out a supplementary form on his or her behalf. A Supplement Code is a combination of numbers and letters (not case sensitive).

What if the Supplement Code is not working?

If your Supplement Code is not working:

  • Be sure that you are entering the supplement code in the field labeled Supplement Code
  • Please verify you have not mistyped the supplement code
  • Please contact the applicant directly as he or she may have deleted the original request, created a new one and rendered the original Supplement Code invalid. Confirm with the applicant whether he or she has already requested a new Supplement Code for you or if he or she must generate a new request

Once you have a valid Supplement Code, to complete the supplement:

  • Go online to https://aim.applyISTS.net/supplement
  • Create an account using your e-mail address and a secure password OR if you have already created an account, simply log in using your e-mail address and password

Why did I receive multiple requests for the same applicant’s supplement?

  • The e-mail requests you are receiving are generated when an applicant logs into his or her application and requests a supplement be sent to you.
  • If you have received more than one request, either by e-mail or in hard copy (paper) form, the applicant has most likely created an additional request.
  • Once you have completed the supplement for that applicant and received a confirmation e-mail stating the submission was accepted, you have successfully submitted the supplement for that applicant.
  • You do not need to complete erroneous requests, and any additional submissions for the same applicant will not be accepted.

Please note: You may receive multiple requests if you are submitting supplements for more than one applicant. Please confirm the name of the applicant that generated the request before disregarding.

Can I get a list of the scholarships you administer?

International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. manages scholarship programs for companies that sponsor them for a specific target audience. We are not permitted to release the names of the organizations and companies with which we work.
