International Scholarship and Tuition Services Announces New Client: Community Foundation for Southern Arizona

ISTS will administer scholarship program for Southern Arizona high school seniors

Nashville, TN (VOCUS) March 31, 2011

International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc. (ISTS) recently signed an agreement with the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona to develop an online application portal and manage application processing and funds disbursement for their general scholarship program.

“We are excited about working with ISTS on our scholarship programs,” said Evan Mendelson, Vice President of Donor Relations and Program Services for the Foundation. “With their expertise in best practices, we can ensure that our donors are getting the most impact for their charitable dollars.”

The CFSA General Scholarship Program, open April 1 to May 16, 2011, will award up to 75 non-renewable scholarships worth between $750 and $2,000 to students graduating from high schools in Southern Arizona. The program incorporates 10 separate awards consisting primarily of memorial funds and scholarships for specific fields of study, such as Education. Nearly all of the awards require that students attend an accredited two- or four-year college in Arizona.

In addition to meeting general eligibility requirements, scholarship recipients will be selected based on financial need, academic achievement, participation in community and school activities, letters of recommendation and an essay.

Mendelson added that the mission of the Foundation’s general scholarship program is to support students who are not in the top 10% of their graduating class and have not already covered the full cost of their college tuition.

Eric Wilner, Vice President of Sales for ISTS, said partnering with CFSA exemplifies ISTS’ commitment to providing comprehensive scholarship management services for community foundations across the country.

“The Community Foundation for Southern Arizona has a tremendously positive impact in the lives of those in Tucson and the other Southern Arizona communities it serves,” said Wilner. “We consider it a privilege to aid in the proliferation of community-focused programs like those in Southern Arizona.”
